I found --Ancient Caches of Utah Challenge--, a new challenge cache Dick put together. The goal is to find one of the two oldest of each cache type in the state. I thought I'd take a minute and post my memories of the oldies.
Traditional
GC3B - Potters Ponds placed 8/27/2000
I found this one on Saturday, 26 August 2006. I got home from my mission in May of 2006 and decided to go to the annual event they hold at Potters Pond every August, since then I have have gone every year. It is a blast. It is fun to see the oldest cache in Utah, I'm glad the owner maintains it and keeps it around.
GC7C - Beaver Springs placed 10/09/2000
I had been wanting to come get this one for a long time, it really is not very far from home but I waited from when I started in 2001 until on Friday, 28 August 2009. I went up with my friend Brian (PeanutsParents) and we had a great day of caching up there, it really is an awesome area.

GC4B2 - UTM, a.k.a. Denali Summit placed 3/17/2001
I went to this cache a few times in the early years playing the cache-u-nut game and such, the first time I found it was on Tuesday, 14 January 2003. But the more memorable trip was in the snow in March of 2004, I followed the tracks of Dorkteam6 who had placed a cach-u-nut in the cache, JeeperDad was right on my tail and we got to the cache cache at almost the same time, it was fun racing around to get those nuts from caches back then.

I found this on Tuesday, 26 November 2002. It is in a very pretty area in the South Fork of Provo Canyon.

I have done this one several times for fellow cachers, but my original visit was on Wednesday, 08 January 2003.

This one took me a while to get around to, I did it on Wednesday, 12 March 2008.

GCGWVG - Ancient Worm Trails placed 9/13/2003
I found this on Saturday, 30 September 2006. Logan Canyon was so interesting and beautiful, I have been back many times since. I was glad for the event that got me up there to explore a new (to me) part of Utah.

Mystery/Puzzles
GC114E - Adventure Cache #2 placed 7/17/2001
This one lived up to its name, it really was an adventure. It was on Saturday, 25 January 2003 and my caching buddy Badgerboy and I were just teenagers and got out big brothers to help us with this one, my older brother(cowboyjake) welded together some spiked climbing shoes and we brought ropes and all kinds of gear to get this cache that was in the middle of a cable that was strung between two trees way up high.

I got this one on Monday, 29 September 2008, I don't have a device that can run the program but I knew where the cache was since I archived one of mine so it could be placed.

I found this on Saturday, 06 September 2008 with a group at the big event held nearby.
